I had a rather lovely belated Birthday treat this week. Steve booked a night at a hotel and a meal at a new Restaurant in Portsmouth. We went to the new Raymond Blanc Brassiere at Gunwharf Quay. The food was excellent and it was a real treat to be able to share a bottle of wine and stroll to the hotel! A leisurely breakfast at the Hotel in the morning and a stroll around the shops finished off the day nicely
Ben went to a football training course at HMS Sultan on Monday and Tuesday,He went with his friend Chloe and the two of them had a fantastic time. After we collected them on Tuesday we stopped by Stokes Bay to see the American Aircraft carrier the Theodore Roosevelt. it is so big it can't come in to Portsmouth Harbour!
of course you can't go to the beach without having an icecream!
